Today almost everyone is aware of the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance. NV is committed to preserving exiting trees and planning new trees.When the public works department tried to fell down the last shade trees by the road in Pazhamthottam and nearby areas, the volunteers of NV interview and resisted the filling of trees and saved them from begging cut down.

NV believes that serving the needy is the duty of every human being and we are committed to service. Navadarsanavedi extends financial support to students from very poor families. Navadarsanavedi also has people in distress and those who became victims of disasters. The members offer personal donation on a regular basis and also mobilize funds for the same.

       Members of Navadarsanavedi meet regularly on the last Sunday of every month and it is a mandatory program. the distinguishing features of meeting are inter- religious prayer.

              It is mainly as a large family gathering of members, friends and well-wishers of Navadarsanavedi, distinguished persons in holding cultural leaders, writers, office-bearers of local self govt bodies etc.

       Navadarsanavedi has carved out a niche for itself in the arena of civil society in Ernakulam district. We have been successful in winning the support of several generous and morally vigilant people of the area.

Mahathma Gandhi auto biography, the story of my experiments with truth is a basic text for the NV and believe that, it is a moral mind which would enrich the evolving minds of our children. In order to draw the attention of our student’s community to the great moral guide we have been conducting a state level quiz competition for school children based exclusively on Gandhis auto biography. this is regularly held on the 2nd Saturday of January every year.
